In Maine


This winter and spring we have worked to support farming operations in Maine, to include a Homestead Hog Harvest processing class this coming fall.  Here is a great article from the Bangor Daily News featuring one of the farmers we are working with:

Rare wooly pig goes from near-extinction to a Maine farm near you

Four-year-old Frank Baker looks on as his father Mark Baker slices a piece of prosciutto for him while making a delivery stop at Ireland Hill Farm in Swanville. The Baker family raises mangalitsa pigs, that are prized for the quality of their meat at Bakers Green Acres farm in Marion, Michigan. Mark said he prepared the prosciutto in a traditional way.
